18 weeks and counting. . .

Pregnancy really does go much faster with a little one running around. I am amazed that we are almost half way. I had an ultrasound a few days ago (yes, the one where you can find out what it is). You know us though, we like secrets. Not so secretly we are hoping for a girl this round but are thinking that this one is most likely a boy. At least that is what we feel like at this point.

On a personal note, (and all you ladies can hate me) my personal weight gain since the start of this pregnancy is -3lbs. Yes, you saw that right, I’ve lost 3 pounds. Last month the doctor said, “Don’t worry, you will gain weight”. This appointment I had no weight gain from last time and her reply was, “I think the weight gain is coming”. (Translation: you better have gained weight next time I see you.)

But since we just had an ultrasound I don’t think that she was too worried because the baby is growing at a great rate. This baby is actually more on target than Isaac. Isaac was always about 5-7 days behind my actual gestational period. This baby was only 2 days behind, at least at this point. Actually, that kind of scares me because Isaac was almost 8 lbs. Don’t worry, I plan to start eating A LOT. I have a conference this weekend so I hope to eat like a pig at a trough. . .a dignified pig, but a pig.
