A True Friend

There are lots of sayings out there about friends. For instance, “A friend is one who walks in when others walk out” or “A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself.” or even “A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.”

I have one to add to that today. “A friend is really a friend when they are willing to let you watch the delivery of their son!” I am pretty sure Cortney just wanted to make sure I knew what i was getting into in a few weeks, but it is truly an amazing gift to get to watch a child come into this world. I feel blessed that I have gotten to watch two enter (first my nephew Kaiden and now Carter) this world! I’m not sure how you can not believe in God when you witness something like that!

So I won’t give away all the details of the birth of Carter; I will save that wonderful news for his parents to share. Let’s just say I am praying that my baby isn’t nearly that big! But as cute and as quick would be fine with me!
