In search of a BLT!
For Valentines Day Ben suggested we go out for lunch opposed to dinner. Sounded good to me, especially since I am doing childcare at church this evening.
When we were discussing where to go Ben came up with the great idea of hunting down a good BLT! The man knows the way to my heart (it helps that he is obsessed with bacon too).
Now the key to a great BLT is finding a good mom and pops place in the middle of a small town. We ended up in Fairborn at a place called Rousch’s. It was definitely a small town place. (Imagine our surprise when we walked in with only $5 cash and realized they didn’t take credit cards!)
The atmosphere and service were great but unfortunately the BLT was lacking. There were only a few shreds of lettuce and only one slice of tomato for the entire sandwich! Isaac didn’t care there was only one tomato, he really wanted it, as you can see. Oh well, not the best BLT ever but a fun experience.
Happy Valentines Day!

We loving trying new places–esp little mom and pop ones! Glad you had an “adventure” on Valentine’s Day, sorry the BLT was not all you had hoped for.
Dot’s has their bacon (from the meat counter) on sale this week–best bacon I’ve had in a LONG time. You could make your own this week!

Well you really are your fathers daughter. That man loves a BLT better than just about anything!!!!! He actually taught me the “right” way to make one years ago. Now I love them too!!! You grow the “maders” and I’ll make the sandwiches.
