Oh Where, Oh Where?

IMG_3431.JPG

Several weeks ago for our two year anniversary Ben got me this handy little key ring finder. I know most of you are thinking, “Wow, how romantic!” Really, it was! If you know me you know I am the queen of practicality. And what really makes a great gift to me is one that shows that the giver really knows you. This gift was a true sign that my husband really does know me. I can NEVER and I mean NEVER find my keys!

A week or so after getting this gift I made it all the way to CVS with my coupons in tow but not my purse. DUH! So when I came home to get it I joked that they should make little stickers to stick on other things (ie, purses) so that you could just hit a little button and find your purse. He told me they had them! He was just testing to see if this actually worked! Great (sarcasm implied)!

Which brings me to today. About 4 days ago I made my menu for the week. I ran across one of the cookbooks my husband got me last year The Meat Club Cookbook and found a great recipe for a garlic roast. I then set the book (not really where it belonged – of course) near all the “to be wrapped” Christmas presents. I’ve seen it there for several days now until I go to make the roast today and CAN’T FIND IT ANYWHERE! I have called my mother, who was over on Monday to see if she decided a recipe looked good. I called my husband to see if he hid it from me to prove that I am truly insane – he claims not to have seen it. (Now I should mention here that calling my husband is a desperate measure as in the two years we have been married I can probably count on one hand the times he has found something before me. I am the woman who can’t find her keys but can tell you that the leftover tacos are on the second shelf in the refrigerator on the far left behind the sour cream. I am usually that good. Not anymore.)

So I have been searching the house high and low for the last hour. Under couches, behind cushins, in the basement, in the refrigerator (yes you read that right – I wouldn’t put anything past me), in the laundry, under the toys, in the nursery. Nada. I have NO IDEA where this crazy cookbook is! And I am a woman obsessed until I find it. I know, I could find another roast recipe, but I want THAT roast recipe. So if you happen to find my cookbook laying around your house, please return it. If you happen to find the remains of my brain I would appreciate that returned too. If for some crazy reason you are the owner of this rare and unusual cookbook – email me the garlic roast recipe! In the meantime, I will be moving the rest of the furniture around the house!

You didn’t wrap it did you? I find this very funny–sounds like something that happens here all the time. ;-p

My guess is that you wrapped it… sounds like something I would do anyway! :)
