The Quest for Internet!

I started trying to post a one month update for Isaac on Saturday. . .it is now Tuesday! Who knew getting an internet connection would be so tough.

On Saturday evening I got inspired to write and post since that was Isaac’s one month birthday. I put him down to sleep for the night and even decided to forgo a little sleep so I could make the post only to remember that we still didn’t have an internet connection. (Now don’t get me wrong, I really was not complaining because I knew so many of my friends still didn’t have power – not that I think Time Warner is being nearly as progressive as DP&L – but nonetheless, I would rather have power than internet).

So Sunday came and went and I believe that I was so tired from Saturdays activities (a wedding and a baby shower) that I couldn’t think about leaving my house. That and Ben was still working on a huge project at work that was due that day so I was on my own. On Monday I wrote the post and saved it on my computer so that I could go somewhere and make the post that evening. That evening we went to Caribou Coffee at the Greene before a dinner with my sister and her husband with the computer in tow. It was only when I got to Caribou that I happened to remember that my computer was COMPLETELY out of juice and I had forgotten the power cord. Okay, I suppose the post will have to wait.

Ben is taking a couple days off work since the big project is finished (YAY!), so we made plans to have breakfast at Panera and get plugged in. So off we went this morning to Panera for lunch (we slept in). Only problem is that their internet wasn’t working – SERIOUSLY? So after lunch we traveled to Lincoln Park where it is rumored that there is free Wifi – we never found the signal – SERIOUSLY? So Ben suggested we travel to the Starbucks in Oakwood, a frequent stop of his, as they have free Wifi. We got there and guess what? Their internet wasn’t working either – SERIOUSLY? Completely dejected we went home and I attempted to pout my way through a nap to forget my sorrows.

[all those seriously's reminds me the new season of Grey's Anatomy starts Thursday. . .what is that like 48 hours from now - SWEET. I digress]

Now, finally, I am sitting in the Panera in Beavercreek, sucking down a Pepsi and a chocolate chip cookie and making the post – I HOPE! I should probably warn them something catastrophic is probably going to happen any moment now . . .you know like a hurricane blowing into Ohio!
